I keep thinking I'm so happy I had this surgery. As soon as I woke up, I knew it was all gonna be worth it.
I've been doing really well. Went home the day of the operation. Not much pain. Sleeping and resting a lot. Apparently people don't eat so much the first day, but I had apetite. Awesome! Drank a small glass of coke right after waking up, ate blueberry soup, and TWO bowls of Campbell's Creamy Chicken soup mmmmm!
Until... I was a bit too quick. I went to the bathroom, Thomas helped me walk over there. I started getting dizzy as soon as I sat down, got a bloody nose, and fainted. Apparently I lost all color in my face, made some weird sounds, and my eyes were open but you could only see the white and flickering. Pretty scary for poor Thomas, but I was fine. I don't remember much, but he called my mom and she helped him get me back to bed. When I made it there I was exhausted and all my clothes were wet from sweat. My body temperature was really high and they opened the window for me and when I was ready, helped me change into fresh clothes. They cooled me down with some wet washcloths. I was pretty calm when all of this is happening, and not scared. I just didn't have enough energy to go to the bathroom yet so this is how my body reacted. About 15 mins after I was back to "normal" and feeling good again!
Note to self: Don't be the cocky athelte... Go slowwwwlyyyyy! Even if I'm feeling pretty good.
